Labor Negotiations

PPEO is responsible for negotiating labor contract agreements between PPEO represented employees and the County of Placer.  The members of PPEO have approved the proposed MOU with the county for 2017-2022.  More information and updates on this process can be found in the For Our Members section.

Annual Events

PPEO hosts, supports, and/or participates in several events through out the year.  Activities such as picnics, the annual softball tournament, and our annual bowling event are great ways to get together outside of work and have some fun with your co-workers and families. Community Outreach

PPEO strives to make Placer County an even better place to live and work by helping organizations within our community.  We support Placer County Search & Rescue through the purchase of needed rescue equipment,  Stand-Up Placer with gift cards to mothers and children escaping domestic violence situations, the Placer Sheriff's Activities League through annual team and hole sponsorship, displaced victims of wildfires by providing food for their animals, and at-risk children by providing holiday gifts.

Local 39 Services

Local 39 provides Group Representation and Individual Representation for all Local 39 and PPEO members. Group representation includes negotiation of labor contracts or other terms of employment.  Individual representation includes assistance with grievances and disciplinary actions, and legal representation if appearing before the Civil Service Commission.  Additional member benefits include: a strike fund, discounted legal services, an annual scholarship, and the Union Plus program which offers discounts on tickets (similar to AAA).
